Normal human temperature fluctuates thru out the day. Generally lowest in the morning and highest thru out the evening. As we grow older, the body heat decrease, babies tend to have warmer body heat.

As a rule, ear temperature is very close to oral temperature but higher than axillary temperature. Human body temperature is controlled by hypothalamus. The blood flowing thru hypothalamus also flows thru the ear drum in mid year.

When using thermal imaging camera, the feature of tracking max temperature in the human will either point at the ear or  the forehead showing max teperature of the human body. In the language of color, those part of the body will shows a different color from the rest of the body. Therefore audio and visual alert will work simultaneously.

Thermal imagingcamera will not give an absolute accurate reading and is not a clinical temperature device and therefore will not determine pathologic condition of a suspect. It only serves as a first defense mechanism and is very effective in scanning thru large crowd of people as it takes only about 400msec to take a reading.

IRtek Mi38 Fever Imaging System provides a fever monitoring system with a clinical IR thermometer IR38 in a kit to compliment the thermal imaging camera.

The IR38 is trully a clinical IR themometer taking the forehead and even an ear drum temperature of a sick person suffering of Swine Flu or other infection disease. It is FDA approved clinical thermometer.

Note:

Normal body temperature : 35.5 ~ 38.0oC (96.4 ~ 100.4oF). Health fore head temperature by age :

Disclaimer : We do not hold responsible for application of non clinical thermal imager to accurately measure body temperature. For your fever monitoring alert, the thermal camera provides fast and efficient body temperature measurement. It is recommended to use the instrument to single out one or a group of person from a crowd to compare. Only IR38 is a clinical IR thermometer and used with a close proximity (1cm from fore head).
